As has come to be expected, the class XII result for the year 2018-19 too has been exceptional. in Medical stream Surabhi Khanna stood first with 97%, Nakul Aggarwal topped with 96.6% in Non-medical, Tanish Mittal secured the top spot with 96.8% in Commerce and Simranjeet Kaur was first with 96% in Humanities. Seven students scored a perfect 100.
In Class X also, the result has been wonderful with Jessica topping with 97.8% and 32 students scored above 90%.
A team of 4 students Raahat Chhabra, Aayush Philips, Tanish Mittal and Gurashman Singh Bhatia of Commerce stream of our school won laurels for the institution by winning in two of the 3 rounds at 6TH DOON SCHOOL YOUNG ENTREPRENEUR’S CONFERENCE. Team DPS won in the two of the three categories of the Conference. We stood first in ‘Finance minister Meeting’ and ‘Investor’s Meet’ of the conference. The challenging task involved the launch of a new product. They made a product ‘Soul Shield’ as a much-needed personal safety product in the prevalent times of rising crime in the society. The conference tested students on various entrepreneurial skills as well as on advertising, branding, quality assurance and conviction.
DELHI PUBLIC SCHOOL Jalandhar has always been keen to provide great opportunities to the students. Success of students brings the greatest pride to the institution and the mentors. A team of students from Class XI and XII Commerce participated in the National level Inter DPS event ‘VANIJYA 2018’ hosted by Delhi Public School Chandigarh on October 13, 2018. There were 20 participating teams. Students did a wonderful job in their respective events. In the ‘Product fair’ event, the outstanding performance of Bhavya Kaul and Mehak Aggarwal fetched them the First position. The students conceptualized and visualized a product named ‘Super Server’. In ‘Standup Comedy’, Devam Sharma and Shubhkarman Singh stood Third.
Success is where preparation and opportunity meet. Delhi Public School Jalandhar won the Best School trophy at The Annual Inter School Chairman’s Debate held at Mayor World School Jalandhar. A team of two students of Class X – Hiya Sharma and Love Malhotra exhibited their acumen. Hiya Sharma was adjudged ‘The Best Speaker’.
Vansh Gambhir of Class IX gave wings to his dreams by winning the title of ‘Mr. Punjab – Junior’ in the event organized by PTC Punjabi TV. Vansh also bagged the title of ‘Best Dancer’. Along with the titles and trophy, he also got prize of holiday trip to Malaysia and Bali. Looking at the bundle of talent, a director offered ‘Golden ticket’ to act in a film.
UCMAS India Pvt. Ltd. organized 11th Punjab Chandigarh State level Abacus Mental Arithmetic. 54 students from DPS participated in the competition. All 54 students of Delhi Public School got trophies in different categories.
Our students have made our school flag fly high every time they have stepped forward in multifarious activities. NCC Cadets showed their zeal and enthusiasm on International Yoga Day. Every cadet has participated in Swachh Bharat, Tree plantation, drug abuse rallies and went door to door in different villages. 11 cadets appeared in A level examination conducted by Ministry of Defence, Govt. of India and all of them passed it with A grade. In Combined Annual Training Camps organized, Hiya Sharma spoke on the documentary of Swachh Bharat rally. She got appreciation letter and Gold medal for best anchor.
